Since the development of gear type spindles, their use has been accepted on all types of mill drives. The SM Mill Spindle is used on heavy-duty, high-torque applications requiring rugged strength such as metals rolling mill main drives and similar heavy equipment. The patent pending Advanced Gear Design increases capacities up to 300%.

The SL, SF and VL Series spindles are designed for medium duty mill applications and auxiliary equipment. Quick or frequent disconnection, and some of the advance design technology incorporated into more expensive type spindles, are made available in these series.

The Advanced Gear Design Analysis enables Ameridrives to optimize mill spindles for the specific application"s operating conditions. The high angle, largely loaded steel mills benefit with less maintenance, lower cost, increased productivity and minimal failures.
